What is Red Dog and how do you play?

Red Dog is an extremely simple three card game from the old West which has proven to be extremely adaptable for online casino games. After players have each received two cards the player will win if the next card is ranked between the first two cards. If all the players' three cards are of the same rank then the player will win at 11 to 1.

After the player has placed the initial bet they receive two cards. If the two cards that they have been dealt are different then the player must decide whether to raise the bet or continue with their current bet before they receive their third card. If the player decides to raise the best then the new bet must have an equal amount to the initial bet.

The player will win if the third card falls numerically between the first two cards and winning hands are paid in accordance to the spread between the first two cards. The player will lose the total bet which includes any raised bets if the third card does not fall in between the first two cards. If the first two cards have consecutive ranks such as 7 and 8 then the hand is a tie and the player's bets are returned.

If the first cards dealt have the same ranking then the third card will be dealt automatically. If the third card has the same rank as the first two cards then the player will win eleven times his initial wager. However, if the third card is different in ranking than the other two, the game is a push and the players bet is returned.
